Terms of Use

By purchasing or using Homepage Panda ("the app"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

License

When you purchase Homepage Panda, you receive a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal or commercial purposes. Your license key may be activated on up to 2 Macs at a time. You can deactivate a Mac and move your license to a different machine at any time.

You may not redistribute, sublicense, resell, or reverse engineer the app.

Payment

Homepage Panda is a one-time purchase of $9.99 USD (or the equivalent in your local currency as displayed at checkout), processed by LemonSqueezy as Merchant of Record. LemonSqueezy handles payment processing, sales tax, and order fulfillment. Their terms of service apply to the payment transaction.

Refunds

If the app does not work as described, you may request a refund within 30 days of purchase by contacting us at support@homepagepanda.com. Refunds are processed through LemonSqueezy.

What the app does

Homepage Panda reads and modifies your iPhone's home screen layout via USB using Apple's standard SpringBoardServices protocol. No jailbreak is required. The app creates automatic backups before making changes.

Known limitations

• iOS 18 allows gaps (empty spaces) between apps, but Apple's API does not support reading or writing gap positions. Pushing a layout will collapse any gaps on your home screen.
• Widgets can be moved but not created from the desktop. New widgets must be created on your iPhone first.
• A USB cable connection is required. The app does not work over Wi-Fi.

Compatibility

Homepage Panda requires macOS 11 (Big Sur) or later and iOS 14 or later. We make reasonable efforts to maintain compatibility with new iOS and macOS releases, but cannot guarantee the app will work with future versions of either operating system.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the app is limited to the amount you paid for the app. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

The app interacts with your iPhone's home screen layout. While we take care to preserve your data (automatic backups, pre-push safety backups), we cannot guarantee against data loss. We recommend keeping backups before making significant changes.

New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act

If you are a consumer in New Zealand, nothing in these terms limits or excludes your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. Those rights apply in addition to these terms.

Intellectual property

Homepage Panda, including its code, design, branding, and panda mascot, is the intellectual property of the developer. All rights reserved.

iPhone, iOS, macOS, Apple Silicon, Lightning, and USB-C are trademarks of Apple Inc. Homepage Panda is not affiliated with or endorsed by Apple.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
